Short training programmes lasting two to three hours are in the works for workers in the hospitality sector so that they can upgrade their skills without missing much of work.
THE National Trades Union Congress Hospitality and Consumer Business Cluster (NTUC HCBC) has formed a network of 22 partners to better curate training programmes for hospitality professionals in Singapore.
We will also be opening new hospitality venture and member's club – Straits Clan on Bukit Pasoh Road. The club is aimed at bringing together a diverse community of the city's most passionate and progressive individuals and provide them with inspiring international content. The clubhouse will also be a space where members can feel comfortable to be themselves and enjoy four floors of world-class hospitality and wellness concepts inspired by the city’s culture.
SINGAPORE - Interior Design Hall of Fame member Alexandra Champalimaud is a woman who wears many hats. On the occupation front, she is a hospitality design guru - the brains behind some of the world's most elegant hotels, including The Dorchester London, Four Seasons Hotel in Jakarta and most recently, the Raffles Hotel Singapore, where she is heading the interior design revamp as part of the hotel's current ongoing restoration and renovation work.
SINGAPORE: Three hotels with a combined 839 rooms are expected to open in Sentosa in mid-2019, aiming mostly to serve the mid-tier market and attract staycation enthusiasts.
